  1. So far so good. I guess that means it works Update to my review. I actually saw a mouse in my kitchen and jumped up on my desk screaming. The mouse was scared and froze right at the door area where the kitchen meets the dining room. I foolishly threw desk items to scare the mouse away and he wouldnt budge. I was risking that mouse running out if the kitchen into the rest of the house. I truely believe he didn’t run because the pest repellant was plugged into that particular wall. I was told the plug runs the legnth of the wall like a force field. After an hour of sitting on my desk throwing a half dozen things past it, i remained calm and the mouse verry slowly went back the way he came in. Having a mouse sucks but I was releived to know the problem never left the kitchen area till the problem was resolved. Until I have pets again, I will have these things in my various wall outlets. IT IS MY OPINION THAT IF USED CORRECTLY THIS ITEM WORKS GREAT

Sorry to see the other poor reviews of this product, because we think this is the best thing since sliced bread! We bought four of these pest repellers and found that they kill all the flies and spiders in the house. We have lots of plants that are breeding grounds for fruit flies; this product disrupts their teeny little lives, and no sooner are some hatched than they disappear. We have to vacuum up the dead house flies and spiders periodically, and we have Black & Decker to thank! I’m buying more–for the rest of the house and garage and for gifts!

I had an earlier version of this.

After closing off old rat holes, no more tried to chew NEW holes.

Previously,One poor fella was in the passageway by the back door: the machine seemed to make it too scared to move, but I propped the back door open and he ran out.

As for insects seeming to LIKE the machines?…”risky behaviors” seem to be popular among young humans.

So what if the noise “disrupts social organization, reproductive behavior, feeding patterns” etc?..haven’t we seen this before?!

Heck those “constantly changing frequencies and pitch” are probably the most exciting thing they have ever heard…hmm, THEY probably call it “music” too.

  4. I am not sure why the manufacturer does not mention this in the product literature but since purchasing these units we have yet to see a single elephant.

We rarely saw a cockroach, occasionally a silverfish, sometimes some ants but NEVER an elephant.

Black and Decker really should update their product info to include this valuable feature as well.

ARGGHH I feel like such a idiot. I fell for it and thought it would work. If only HOPE were enough to drive the bugs out. I bet all the big companies would try to bottle hope and sell it, it would work just as well as this thing! I have 5 all going in my >700sq ft condo. I’ve seen bugs crawling right ON it. Centipedes (Scolopendra heros) within feet of it. And what the hell!? Aren’t centipedes from the jungle or somthing? I can’t believe it. I oughta sue, false advertising! They shouldn’t get away with it because I need my $30 bucks back more than they do, I guarantee it! Black and Decker can make wimpy hand drills somewhat well, and NOTHING MORE. ARRGGHHH!!!
