I bought one of these for under my house in the crawl space. After letting it set for a few days I checked the poison baits I usually have at the access doors to the crawl space area. They were untouched! Without the Bird-X the baits are usually well chewed on. Since the area is large I bought a second Bird-X and placed at the other end of the house in the crawl space area. I have them both set on MEDIUM volume which is very loud in the crawl space area. But where they are located, I DO NOT HEAR them running when I am in the house. One I do not hear outside the house either. The other I hear a little bit outside (sounds like ckickets in the distance). I’ve had the devices running for some time now and have NO SIGN of rodents under my house(or inside)anymore. As a plus I have had far, far fewer spiders showing up inside the house as well!

It’s hard for me to believe that this great product gets negative reviews. They are either not using it correctly or are expecting something else.
This Rodent repeller does indeed work and will keep them out wherever it is at. I have bought several of them over the years and several from this vendor right here on amazon and even keep a spare just in case one gives out, in which never has yet.
I had a mouse problem at my residence and for the life of me can’t figure out how they’re getting in… It got so bad that I was trapping several of them within a weeks time. I tried several of the plug in electronic models on the market and they did nothing and continued trapping them despite I had them all over the house. I bought the Bird-X Transonic Pro and put in my kitchen, as that where it appears where they get in and where they were sighted most of the time… Well, low and behold the mice disappeared. I haven’t seen a mouse since I put this device in employment. I set it on a kitchen counter top and it works throughout the whole house… The secret is, is to have your doors open so that the sound can infiltrate all the rooms. Works like a charm… I even left my traps set up for several days after turning on the unit and they were gone! No more trappings or mice… I turn this on every day when I leave the house and that’s enough to keep them out!
OK, for those that say it’s loud. Yes it’s loud but that’s how it does it. The screech this unit puts out, is what drives them out. They simply don’t like this sound and will not set-up camp any where this unit is set up… You have to turn on the unit when you are away for the day. You will not be able to have it on while you’re in the same area, or at home, so don’t get the idea that you can, yes, it’s loud and has different settings too. To repel mice, the medium setting works just fine and has a second selector switch for rodents and depending what you’re trying to repel has different selections.
Another plus is that I haven’t seen a spider or any other insect since this unit has been in employment. No webs to clean anywhere. My house is spotless of such creatures of all kinds.
I recently seen a mouse at my business out in the garage area where there is much stock and boxes everywhere… I haven’t seen a mouse or evidence of in the 21 years I have owned the building. I immediately went and got one of the Transonic Pro out of storage and set it up in there and turned it on… I hope it will get rid of the darn things before they take over. That’s all I need is to have a rodent problem in this area as there are many boxes of stock everywhere and it would be a night-mare.
I ordered another one of these units yesterday from this vendor to have as a spare and if also things get worse and they get in the main section of the building.
If used properly, these units work great and will make the atmosphere turbulent for mice and they will not settle in and will drive them out. Yes traps do work but why make them feel cozy enough to settle in to trap. Drive them out before they do with the Transonic-Pro… Yes, they do work but you have to run it when you’re not home or in an area where you can’t hear it, depending on what you’re trying to repel.
Good luck and I hope this gives you an idea as to how the Transonic-Pro works. I have turned this unit on every day when I leave for work for several years and have been rodent and insect free since and now have one set-up at the garage section at my business as well and hope that, that little beast excited the same way he got in, I hate those things and make me jump too…LOL… Good Luck All!

We moved into a brand new house and noticed that all around the corners there was poo. The poo looked like rat or mouse droppings, but it was only on the corners, so we weren’t sure what kind of rodent it was. We also noticed that there were stains on the very top corners of the ceiling and walls. We weren’t sure if it was from the new paint on our house or what. Being city folks and moving the the country, it never occured to us that we’d have bats, until the first night spent at the house, my husband noticed something flying outside the front door, low and behold a bat hanging upside down on the corner of the ceiling outside our front entrance. GROSS!
I searched Amazon to check out which ones had the best ratings and it seemed that some worked for people and some didn’t. We happened to be in a hardware store and noticed the ‘Bird-X TX-PRO Transonic Pro Electronic Pest Repeller’. We bought it cause I was sick of having bats pooing around our new house…that and Halloween was coming, as much as it would have been an added decor in our front entry…I don’t think that the kids would have appreciated real flying bats.
The first few days, it didn’t seem like it was working, BUT as I read the instructions, it said that sometimes it may take up to two weeks before it annoys the bats enough to leave. It took almost a week, but the bats finally left the front entrance, only to start hanging out in the back of the house.
The box said that it covered up to 5000 sq. ft. BUT read instructions and it will say that it works 5000 sq. ft. but not through walls. SO after spending over $30.00 for the one in the front entry, I wasn’t prepared to spend that amount again for a small area in
the back of the house, so I bought the ‘P3 International Wave Attack’ since it had semi good reviews. I know that it’s listed as an indoor repeller, but I didn’t see the harm in putting it outside. This item totally worked for us. No more bats at all.
All these repellers have a clicking noise, which you won’t really hear or notice when you’re inside. But it didn’t bother us since we were using it for the exterior. We didn’t want that clicking sound on all the time throughout the day and since the bats only appeared at night we put timers on both of them so that they’d only go on late in the evening. I figure if it’s on constantly, the bats might get use to it and reappear. It’s been almost a month and I’d say that both products have been working out for us. I gave both a 4 star rating because we haven’t had it long enough, otherwise it’d be a 5 star rating.

I got this device as I have a bat problem, and I was hoping for a non poison method of getting rid of the little creepy rats on wings. I don’t really mean them any harm, I don’t want them dead, I just want them to realize that I don’t want to share a home with them.
While the device did warn that it was more intended for outdoor use, I was going to try it in my attic and see how annoying it was. A working product may be worth a mild noise I may or may not notice. When I first hooked it up, the device was quiet enough that I didn’t notice it all all through out my house on the BAT setting. Great!
About 4 days after I had the device installed, I noticed that I could hear it when on the second floor of my house. I figured I must not have had the switch firmly into the bat setting and it must have gone up a notch. When I got up to pick up the device, I heard a bat a few feet behind me… taking a gander at me in their ultrasonic way. It didn’t seem to care about the device, nearly as much as I cared about being that close to it.
It still goes up and down in volume depending on the day. Some days its loud, some days it isn’t noticed even in the dead of night. Why the variance? Either it is reacting to the bats being nearby (which means they still don’t care much about it as its been many weeks) or the device was just not well made.

so far this item seems to be working, combined with rat poison, and aromatic deterrents.
