There’s a new apartment we want to get. The previous owners left about 2 weeks ago because the bed bugs gave them rashes. There is no furniture left, the apartment is now completely empty, save the fridge and stove. The landlord’s wife cleaned it out, repainted it, if that makes a difference. It’s been empty for about 2 weeks. The previous owner had professionals try to exterminate them, twice, and it didn’t make a difference. Do bed bugs leave if they have no food or humans to feed on? Will there be any bed bugs left, is it safe to move into that apartment? All answers greatly appreciated.
By the way there’s no carpet, it’s all wood flooring.

i had no idea bed bugs were even real. maybe they like dirty sheets and balnkets. clean those every once in awhile.

then tape around your bed frame leg. make sure tape is stick part flip to the out side so if they come they are stuck and do it twice a week because you want those tape to be effective. you going have noisy bed but at least no bites and don’t cost you arm or leg
just trap all the bed bug in the bed. basically grab trash bag and cut it and tape it together to make big enough to wrap around the bed and make sure no leak .

LOTS of money invested. lots of chemical sprays, and lots of keeping up. if you see a bed bug, KILL IT!!!! do’t let any of them bastards get away! and dont use exterminators, they do’nt a good job at all, and they cost too much money. sometimes, just turn out the lights at night, and get a small flashlight. you’ll see a couple come out right away.

I had the most horrible infestation!! There were so many, they didnt even bother hiding anymore. If you would look at my couch you could see them all over. you’d see them just walking on the floor. I wouldnt even attempt to lay down until i knew i would fall asleep within minutes. i would get bit so much i couldn’t sleep some nights. i would wake up scratching, and wouldn’t be able to fall back asleep for hours; if at all.

i had a bedbug infestation once in my home , but it did’nt bite me , but it bit my parents and sister , my dad called the bug exterminators , they ripped apart the beds in my house and found so much bed bugs they never seen in their whole life … every morning , blood could be seen often in my beds

t’s not a mystery. It’s all the world travel and people coming over the border. Also, we’ve eliminated the insecticides that work.
They are disturbing and traumatizing. they hurt, itch, smell.They hide inside the mattress and under the frame. Also up by the ceiling.
Get an air mattress. They have no crevaces or stitching to hide in. Ugggh. Just be careful about what hotels you stay in and who you let rent your home.
